When it comes to speaking from the heart and soul Sam Hankins is an amazing linguist. This composition highlights a quite unique style and ability. While his trumpet may be muted, what's communicated is lively, lovely and deeply touching. Nothing "cookie cutter" here, very original, each track has its own voice and beautiful things to say. I've shared this with friends claiming to not like jazz, (how on earth?!), but they've all found something to love in this great work. If you appreciate authentic works of art and enjoy relaxing to a collection of great tunes that will truly touch your soul, this is a must have. At the time of my purchase an impressive amount of the proceeds were to be donated to Vision Quest, just another reason to admire and support this incredible artist. Warning: could be addictive, I've become a bit obsessed with a couple of tunes, dinner prep time seems to fly now though! Absolutely love it!!!
